Oats Upma





Hi All,
For all those who are health conscious this is an excellent dish. If you are looking for varieties for healthy food this is a must tryJ, even otherwise you may try this dish. Hope you enjoy this recipe.





Ingredients Required:

Roasted Oats
1 cup
Chopped Onions
1 small
Chopped Green Beans
¼ cup
Chopped Carrots
¼ cup
Groundnut/Peanuts
About 12 to15
Chana Roasted
About 12 to15
Jeera/Cumin Seeds
¼ teaspoon
Mustard Seeds
¼ teaspoon
Red Chilli Whole
1
Oil
1 tablespoon
Curry Leaves
4 to 5
Salt
As per taste
Water
1         ½ Cups

Method of Preparation:
·         In a pan roast oats for 3-4 minutes. Once done let it rest.
·         In another pan pour oil, let it warm and add Cumin, mustard, red chilli whole and curry leaves. 
       Let it  spurt and then add chopped onions, green beans and carrots. Let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
·         Add peanuts and let it cook for 2 minutes and then add roasted chana.
·         Add required water and salt to taste it and let the water start boiling.
·         Add roasted oats, stir well and cover the lid. 
      Let it boil for another minute or two and then serve hot  with coconut chutney.
