Saute Chicken

Here comes one of my favorite recipe, this has always been a hit in the all the parties served so far.
It can be served as a starter. I hope you will enjoy this recipe as much as I do:-). This a pretty quick and easy recipe to make.

Ingredients Required:
500 grams boneless chicken
3 teaspoon ginger paste
3 teaspoon garlic paste
1 large onion sliced
1 green or red bell pepper sliced
1/4 cup chopped spring onions
2 teaspoon soya sauce
1 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
5 -7 sliced green chillies
1 tablespoon ketchup
1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoon oil
Salt to taste

Marinate:
Add ginger paste, garlic paste, sliced onions, soya sauce, vinegar, green chillies to chicken. Mix it well and set it aside for 3 to 4 hours. This helps to make the chicken soft and helps enhance the taste.

Cooking Method:
  • Pour oil in a pan, once the oil is warm enough add the marinated chicken to it.
  • Make sure to cook initially at medium to high temperature as the water content in the chicken needs to evaporate. After 5 -10 mins you may reduce the temperature.
  • Keep stirring the chicken every 5 mins, once the chicken is half cooked add salt to taste.
  • When the chicken is almost done add bell peppers, crushed red pepper, ketchup.Stir well and let it cook for another 5 mins. Keep it covered.
  • Now you may transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with sesame seeds and  chopped spring onions.
Your starter is ready to be served.
Cooking time - 30 mins. Serving size 4 to 5 persons.

Popular Home made Vanilla Cake

Hi Everybody,

This is the first recipe I am posting on my site. Since I have received lot of request from friends to share this recipe I thought why not start with simply baking, simple yet delicious cake.

Hence without wasting more time lets get started.

Ingredients required:
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 cup oil
1 & 1/2 cup brown sugar (Granulated sugar is preferable)
3 eggs
Pinch of salt
1 cup milk
1 tea spoon baking powder
4 drops vanilla essence
Cashew nut and raisins ( for garnishing)

Method:
  • In a bowl take oil and sugar and stir well. Add all purpose flour to it and keep stirring until all the three ingredients mix well.
  • In a separate bowl beat the eggs and add to the above mixture.
  • Apart from the nuts and raisins mix all the ingredients mentioned above and let the mixture rest for an hour. This mixture can be stirred every 15 minutes for best results.
  • Make sure the batter is not too thick nor too thin.
  • Preheat the baking tray for about 2 mins and after removing the tray from the oven spray some oil on it.
  • You can now spread the cake batter on the tray, take about a min or two and add the nuts and raisins on the top of the batter.
  • Preheat the oven for about 5 mins.
  • Now you are all set to place the tray inside the oven at 350 degrees for about 25 to 30 mins. ( The temperature settings for each oven might differ)
  • Keep checking if the cake is getting baked  by opening the oven every 10 mins. The best way to check if the cake is fully done, take a fork and pierce the cake. If the fork comes out neat it means the cake is done.
  • Allow the cake to cool down and then serve with tea or you can have it otherwise too.
